Malaysian automaker Proton, in the next two years to release a sporty two-seater, named Lekir, which will be very similar to the version of Lotus, but its cost will be considerably less than European counterparts. Proton Lekir join an existing, three-door hatch, Satria Neo.

This statement was made by officials of the company through one of the Malaysian newspapers, where it is said that Proton Lekir project is in full swing and see the production version of the sports car will be a year and a half.

Under the bonnet sports car expected 1.6-liter turbocharged engine Campro, car price will be about 48,000 dollars.
